Online Banking Help Welcome to NMEFCU’s electronic banking and bill payment services through the Internet. We are pleased to offer you a convenient way to pay bills, transfer funds, and check balances. To obtain an enrollment information, please contact Member Service at 757-664-4273. To begin on-line banking, enter the Logon ID and Security Code provided by our Member Service Department. Once you have logged in, select your desired activity from the menu. NMEFCU also provides enhanced authorization to further protect your privacy and financial information. Please note the following helpful hints when you sign on to your Virtual Branch on-line account: Enhanced Authentication Enhanced Authentication: The second screen you will see is our enhanced authentication screen. This screen is used to protect you from phishing and confirm you’re actually on the Virtual Branch online banking site. The Logon ID: Your Login is your account number. Passmark: Your Passmark is the combination of the picture and phrase we use for Enhanced Authentication Sign In. Make sure your image and phrase are correct, then enter your Security Code and click the Sign In button. Do not press the ENTER key or the BACK button during enrollment. PLEASE NOTE: Your Security Code is the same password you have always used to log in. Password: Your Password or Security Code must be eight (8) characters long and must contain at least two (2) alpha characters or letters, and two (2) numeric characters or numbers. Do not use special characters such as (!@#$%^&*+) in your Password. Phishing: Phishing is an attempt to criminally and fraudulently acquire sensitive information, such as user names, passwords, account numbers, and credit card details, by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication. Phrase: The “Phrase” is an arbitrary word which will appear on your screen with your picture as part of your Passmark. Do Not Use Your Password As Your Phrase. It will Appear on the Screen Each Time You Sign On. Your Phrase must be at least 6 characters and not more than 20 characters in length. It can contain any combination of alpha (letter) and numeric (number) characters, including spaces. Do not use special characters such as (!@#$%^&*+) in your phrase. Security Code: Your Security Code is the same password you have always used to log in. It is the same as your password. It must be eight (8) characters long and must contain at least two (2) alpha characters or letters, and two (2) numeric characters or numbers. Do not use special characters such as (!@#$%^&*+) in your Security Code. Timing Out: As a security precaution, you will time-out and your Virtual Branch session will end if you remain inactive for 10 minutes.
